Winfield, Kansas


Winfield is a city situated on the Walnut River in South Central Kansas. It is the county seat of Cowley County, Kansas, and the hometown of Randolph Blake and Mary Ann Summers, who worked at the general store. The city is located at an elevation of 1,129 feet. Mary Ann also worked on her uncle's farm here. One of the out-lying communities is named Horner's Corners, the home of Horace Higgenbotham and Sybil Wentworth.
