Polopony

Bio[]

Polo is a team sport played on horseback in which the objective is to score goals against an opposing team. Players score by driving a small white plastic or wooden ball into the opposing team's goal using a long-handled mallet. The game was first played in Ancient Persia (modern Iran) around the 6th Century BC to the 1st Century AD, but it may date back to the 5th century BC or earlier. Today, it is a favorite sport of the wealthy and elite along with Tennis and Croquet for being a cultured sport. It seems to be the favorite sport of Mr. Howell who keeps a polo mallet prominently in his hut and a bamboo polo pony on the Island which the ghost sticks in a tree. The Professor is sometimes mending it to keep Mr. Howell from injuring himself on it.
