The Professor's Hypodermic Needle is a makeshift needle created by the Professor to treat island illnesses and conduct examinations with the castaways as they may pop up on the island, specifically with the Skipper's allergy to Gilligan. It is possibly used behind the scenes when the Professor examines the skipper for a vitamin deficiency. However, the Professor might had access to a box of medical supplies that wash up on the island afterward because he has a plastic syringe late when Kilani washed up on the island and he had to place Gilligan into a brief comatose state.
